Hotel Nyota

An absolutely perfect hotel for the beach. Luxurious, clean, ideal location and with fantastic breakfast. If you are visiting Mamaia this is a wonderful hotel to stay at. It has a wonderful pool with bar as well and barbecues on the roof bar at the weekend. Importantly secure parking available. Personally, I love the lake view rooms, to watch the sunset on the balcony with some fizz!

Beautiful new hotel with nice, clean and big rooms, great service and the food is exceptional at the restaurant. Breakfast is delicious with a great variety of products (smoked salom, hummus, eggs, sausages, bacon, greek salad, prosciutto crudo, vegetables, creamcheese, pastry products, milk, cereals, a lot of fruits and so on). At the restaurant we had the beef soup soup, snitzel, french fries, pasta, samosa and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff is young and very nice. The hotel offers free parking and acces to the pool. The beach is only 5 minutes away and you get free sunbeds, the beach is very clean, there are bathrooms available and you can order from the bar directly from the sunbed. You get towels for both pool and beach based on some cards you receive from the hotel. The only minuses we found were: - the parking lots which are very small. If you park correctly, you cannot get out of the car, therefore there are usually 2 cars parked on 3 spots. - the beach schedule which is open from 9 AM to 6 PM. It would have been better to have it open more, like 8 AM -7 PM as at 9 it is already too hot. In a nutshell, thank you, Nyota for a great vacation!

Overall, I had a positive and negative experience at this hotel. As with the area it serves, there is a heavy emphasis on appearance, and less so on substance. Room: nicely furnished and certainly modern. The air conditioning worked very well, but never found a good temperature. It was always too cold or off. I found myself adjusting the thermostat frequently, as turning it off and on seemed to be the only two functional settings. Wifi was terrible. Telekom service was also terrible, but not the fault of the hotel. I simply had no good internet options during my stay. The shower pressure, temperature, and space were excellent Cleaning: the room was clean everyday, and the room cleaners were helpful and courteous. However, I stayed for eight nights and never got any sugar or coffee replenishment for the room. It's customary to refill these items daily. Really nice coffee is available at breakfast, but that does not open a minute before 8:06 daily. Restaurant: breakfast was 4/5, I have no complaints there, but service at dinner was very rudimentary and certainly not customer focused. Dinner dishes were not my favorite. I tried the turkey schnitzel and the cheeseburger. Both failed to impress on any level. Our party required separate bills, and this seemed to irritate our server. Ultimately, this issue caused us to stop eating there in the evenings through the remainder of our stay. There is an additional restaurant upstairs that is only available on Fridays with a reservation I believe. I checked out the deck, which was nice, but didn't go on a day it was open. Common areas: dining area was pleasant, well decorated, and clean. Front desk personnel were helpful. Lobby smelled heavily of perfume at all times. Didn't use the pool or beach amenities, and I don't have an opinion on them, though the beach is mostly made of small shells. Parking garage was functional and had security personnel present. Location: This was a business trip, but the hotel seemed to be in a great location for the area. Lots of beach access and dining options in the area.
